I am a passionate architect and interior designer located in Brisbane with more than 10 years industry experience in modern residential design including new builds, restorations and renovations.

Before establishing the Owen-Catt Architects studio, I worked with Paul Uhlmann Architects on the Gold Coast, designing and managing high-end, award-winning residential projects, town houses, Surf Club redevelopments and multi-residential complexes including the Hyatt Coolum. My portfolio features design and building projects valued between $290,000 and $295 million.

As an experienced sculptor and artist, I’ve embraced the opportunity to collaborate on unique furniture projects, including street furniture design for the Cavill Street Redevelopment with Cardno S.P.L.A.T.

I strive for simplicity through rigorous and functional space planning and am passionate about working with clients to find the right design solutions.

I have always had a love of creating and a passion for functional, practical design. Perhaps this was engrained as a child watching my father, the ultimate MacGyver, find practical solutions to complex problems around the home.

During my Brisbane school days, this passion for form and aesthetics culminated in a study path that merged straight sciences with sculpture and design.

These experiences and my love of ‘making’, led me to study architecture at the University of Queensland, where I graduated with honours. I now approach every new building project as an artistic endeavour’.
